Small but terrible...Proud and honored
The "Games of Heroes" happening really soon in Fairfax County, Virginia U.S.A. (and I mean this coming Friday, June 26!!!!) so I guess all the players are focusing on their preparations, both physically and mentally.
I so wanted this chance to have a short conversation with some of the players of the PNP Responders (yes, UNTV Cup's very own playing men in uniform), and I am so grateful they actually spared time for me.
I got the chance to ask jersey # 5 PO3 Japhet Cabahug, one of the team's point guards, three things after their practice in the morning:
1. How do you feel being one of the representatives of our country in the fairfax games?
"I feel very proud and grateful that I've been chosen as one of the players that will represent our country through PNP in this prestigious event, since this is the first time that we have entered the 5x5 basketball..."
2. How are you preparing for the games?
"I was expecting that our opponents are taller than us..So I need to focus on our game plans mentally and physically..I will give all my best the time we step on the hard court. But most important is my spiritual prepareness with the aid of God because I believe we can do nothing without Him."
3. In which category will you be playing?
"I'm playing for Basketball 5x5,"
There went our small chit-chat!
(Thank you, Sir Japs, and it is an honor interviewing you online. :D )
